About the "Arteest"

"Deacon" Dawson is proud to call "South Carolina's Grand Strand" home, as reflected in his Pen and Ink reminders of its landmark structures, past and present. His every picture tells a story... and more than likely, "Deacon" has played a role in each one. This National award winning radio personality ("Billboard" Magazine, and numerous others), Voice-over talent, TV/Movie Actor, and of course "Arteest", touched down in Myrtle Beach in 1968 from Huntington, West Virginia. (Go Herd!) His works include album covers, posters, T-shirts, greeting cards, tattoo designs, and graffiti (just one interstate overpass... a long time ago,... honest!) Deacon's Grand Strand Prints of the Past (some Limited Edition) are each hand-signed by the artist and available here and at local restaurants and favorite tourist traps.
